National Pukyong University Sees Four Finalists Pass This Year’s Regional Talent Grade 7 Civil Service Exam

Pass the 2025 Regional Talent Grade 7 Civil Service Trainee Exam
National Pukyong University (President Bae Sanghoon) announced that four of its students have passed the 2025 National Regional Talent Grade 7 Civil Service Trainee Recruitment Exam.
According to National Pukyong University, four students?Noh Hyobin (Media and Communication, Class of 2020) and Cho Heejung (Marine and Fisheries Management, Class of 2020) in the administrative field, Lee Junseong (Public Administration, Class of 2019) in the administrative field, and Hwang Changyeon (Civil Engineering, Class of 2018) in the science and technology field?were ultimately successful in this year’s exam, which is administered by the Ministry of Personnel Management.

View original imageThe Regional Talent Grade 7 Civil Service Trainee Recruitment Exam was introduced in 2005 to strengthen regional representation in public service and diversify recruitment channels. Candidates who graduate (or are expected to graduate) in the top 10% of their department are recommended and then selected through a written test, document screening, and interview.
This year, a total of 158 candidates nationwide passed the exam, including 105 in the administrative field and 53 in the science and technology field. The successful candidates will complete basic training in the first half of next year and then serve as trainees at central government agencies for one year before being appointed as Grade 7 civil servants.
Thanks to its systematic support programs for the Regional Talent Grade 7 Civil Service Trainee Recruitment Exam, National Pukyong University has produced 72 successful candidates since 2005.
National Pukyong University plans to hold an on-campus briefing session in July to introduce the Regional Talent Grade 7 Civil Service Exam system and will select next year’s recommended candidates in December.
