The county has redesigned Sokdong Coastal Park as an immersive emotional garden where visitors can experience the beauty of the seasons with all five senses, going beyond simple landscaping.
In particular, hydrangeas and lavender, planted for the summer season, have been arranged in the thousands, creating a landscape reminiscent of a watercolor painting.
The county expects the flowers to be in full bloom from mid-June and plans to operate linked tourism content with nearby attractions during this period, including Hongseong Sky Tower, Namdang Rainbow Road, and Namdang Marine Fountain Park.
A new sunset photo zone installation has also been created to stimulate visitors' emotions, and it is expected to offer tourists special memories.
Kim Taegi, head of the county's Culture and Tourism Division, said, "This garden renewal was designed as an emotional, experiential space that goes beyond a simple flower garden, connecting the natural, cultural, and tourism resources of the 'Cheonsuman Coastal Area' in a multidimensional way. We plan to showcase a variety of landscapes that change with the seasons, including hydrangeas and lavender, throughout the summer and into the fall."
