Gumi Urban Corporation and its labor union in Gyeongbuk have taken proactive steps to assist farming households in the Andong area affected by wildfires.

View original imageOn May 29, Gumi Urban Corporation (President Lee Jaewoong) and its labor union (Chairman Kim Moonju) visited Gil-an-myeon, Andong-si, Gyeongbuk, to carry out volunteer activities supporting rural labor.
This initiative was part of an urban-rural win-win social contribution project in collaboration with the Gumi branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation. Over 40 people, including employees of Gumi Urban Corporation and the Agricultural Cooperative, participated voluntarily, adding significance to the effort.
The volunteers worked hard to help restore orchards severely damaged by the wildfire and to clean up the surrounding environment. In particular, field-oriented and customized support was provided to ensure practical assistance for the affected farmers.
President Lee Jaewoong stated, "Helping farming households struggling with their livelihoods due to wildfires is a responsibility of public enterprises," and added, "Gumi Urban Corporation will continue to engage in various social contribution activities based on solidarity and mutual growth with the local community."
