Lee Wooseok Appointed as New CEO of Korea BASF
Korea BASF announced on May 30 that Lee Wooseok, Vice President of BASF Asia Pacific Polyamide & Precursors Business Management, will be appointed as the new CEO effective June 1.
Former CEO Song Joon will relocate to Belgium, where BASF's Monomers division headquarters is located. Since joining Korea BASF in 2000, the new CEO Lee has led various business divisions within the BASF Group, accumulating global experience and strategic leadership.
He has overseen Asia-Pacific and global operations in China, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, playing key roles in sales, marketing, business management, and product portfolio strategy across diverse areas such as process chemicals for paper, functional additives for printing, coatings, and plastics.
