Dunamu Nominates Oh Kyungseok as New CEO, Appointment to Be Finalized at Next Month's Shareholders' Meeting
Blockchain and fintech specialist company Dunamu announced on May 29 that it has nominated Oh Kyungseok, CEO of Panco, as its new CEO.
Oh Kyungseok is expected to be officially appointed as the next CEO following approval at an extraordinary general shareholders' meeting and a board of directors meeting scheduled for June 27.
Oh Kyungseok graduated from Korea University with a degree in Business Administration. He passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in 2001 and worked at Samil Accounting Corporation. After completing the Judicial Research and Training Institute in 2008, he served as a judge at the Suwon District Court, a research judge at the Supreme Court, and worked at Kim & Chang law firm, gaining extensive legal experience.
In 2016, he joined the apparel company Panco and was appointed CEO in 2018, embarking on his career as a professional manager. He also serves as an outside director at Musinsa. With experience spanning law, accounting, and corporate management, as well as a bold leadership style, he is expected to contribute to strengthening Dunamu's global competitiveness.
Oh Kyungseok stated, "In the rapidly changing digital finance environment, I will pursue both stability and innovation in a balanced manner so that Dunamu can establish itself as a more trusted global company. Drawing on my accumulated experience, I will lead Dunamu's next leap forward."
Meanwhile, Lee Seokwoo, the current CEO, will continue his involvement with the company as a management advisor. Since taking the helm at Dunamu in 2017, Lee Seokwoo has been credited with successfully driving the company's growth and innovation during his tenure.
