Hoseo University Hosts Seminar for Uzbek Policy Officials
Introduction of Industry-Academia Cooperation Models and Regional Intelligence Projects
Hoseo University announced on May 29 that it hosted an industry-academia cooperation seminar by inviting a total of 17 Uzbek government managers at the director and section chief level, selected by the government of Uzbekistan, as part of the "2025 Uzbekistan Young Leaders Governance Capacity Building Program" organized by the National Human Resources Development Institute.
These participants are policy officials selected by the Agency for Human Resource Development and the National Academy of Public Administration of Uzbekistan. They visited Hoseo University to experience Korea's regional industry innovation cases and industry-academia cooperation models.
The Graduate School of Technology Management at Hoseo University introduced an industry-academia cooperation model based on Actual-task Based Learning (ABL) that addresses real-world challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as regional intelligence projects in semiconductors, displays, and smart factories at the seminar.
After the seminar, the group toured the semiconductor package lab and FAB line on campus. Hoseo University’s family companies, Innovase and The Young Medi, which are preparing to enter the Uzbekistan market, also participated and engaged in discussions on technology transfer and joint business models.
Kwon Youngil, Dean of the Graduate School of Technology Management, emphasized, "We will utilize Hoseo University's industry-academia cooperation education model for the training of foreign public officials and businesspeople, thereby expanding relationships with partner countries and seeking global business opportunities."
