Choi Min-sik to Star in Netflix Series "The Boy in the Last Row"
Working with Choi Hyunwook, Heo Junho, Kim Yunjin, and Jin Kyung
Actor Choi Min-sik will play an eccentric professor of Korean language and literature in a new Netflix series.
On May 29, Netflix announced that Choi Min-sik will star in "The Boy in the Last Row," a series based on a Spanish play of the same name. The story follows a professor who, having failed to achieve his dream of becoming a writer and living with a sense of inferiority, meets a brilliant student who reignites his passion.
Choi Min-sik will portray Heo Munoh, a Korean literature professor known for his irritable and blunt demeanor. Lee Kang, a student who exudes a mysterious presence in the very last row of the classroom, will be played by Choi Hyunwook. Kim Suhoon, a successful writer and Heo Munoh's college classmate, will be played by Heo Junho. Kim Yunjin will take on the role of Ahn Eunju, Kim Suhoon's wife. Jin Kyung will appear as Jo Hyunsook, Heo Munoh's wife and a psychological counselor, acting alongside Choi Min-sik.
