100 Young Entrepreneurs Nationwide Declare Support for Lee Jaemyung
"The Only Candidate Who Has Promised to Reflect the Voices of Young People in Policy"
One hundred young entrepreneurs, including startup founders and small business leaders active across the country (hereafter referred to as "young entrepreneurs"), have officially declared their support for Democratic Party candidate Lee Jaemyung.
On May 24, the 100 young entrepreneurs visited the local office of Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Wonyi (Mokpo, Jeonnam) and stated, "We are here not simply to express support, but to speak directly about our future." They emphasized, "Young people should no longer be treated as mere subjects of policy experiments, but must become the architects of policy. We must take the lead as key players in designing policies for our actual survival."

He highlighted that, despite the fact that young people building businesses amid international instability and rapid changes in advanced industries is nothing short of a 'miracle,' the current system fails to support them.
The young entrepreneurs also cited structural barriers such as entry obstacles to public procurement markets, lack of opportunities to participate in R&D projects, and insufficient access to ODA international cooperation projects. They defined the reality faced by young entrepreneurs as "a field of survival, not an experiment."
The young entrepreneurs stated, "Lee Jaemyung is the only candidate with a clear vision for governance together with young people," and added, "We declare our support because he is the only candidate who has personally promised to listen to the voices of young people and reflect them in his policies."
This declaration of support went beyond a simple announcement. The group also presented five major policy proposals reflecting the on-the-ground experience and expertise of young entrepreneurs, calling for their substantive inclusion in policy.
The five proposals are: ▲ Expanding young companies' access to public procurement markets ▲ Guaranteeing opportunities for youth-led participation in R&D projects ▲ Expanding participation in ODA (Official Development Assistance) international cooperation projects ▲ Establishing region-based youth industrial clusters ▲ Ensuring the substantive participation of young entrepreneurs in the policy design process.
This declaration of support was made up of the voluntary participation of 100 individuals, without the official involvement of any organizations required to remain politically neutral. This eliminated any potential violation of the Public Official Election Act, and is drawing attention as a new model of political engagement in which young people themselves take the initiative to propose directions for policy and administration.
