View original imageAccording to the county on May 28, the project will be carried out with a budget of approximately 92 million won. The comprehensive maintenance will include repainting aging facilities at bus stops, reinstalling damaged and broken shelters, and cleaning glass, all aimed at creating a more pleasant environment.
There are 31 rural buses operating at the county's bus stops, transporting passengers an average of about 2,800 times per day. Notably, around 65% of users are elderly, which further highlights the importance of safe and convenient bus stop facilities. Gochang County's rural buses use a flat fare system, charging 1,000 won for adults and 500 won for students.
Shim Deokseop, the county governor, stated, "We are actively working to improve the environment of bus stops with the safety and convenience of residents as our top priorities," adding, "We will continue to make every effort to enhance transportation welfare in the county through ongoing inspections and maintenance."
