"Let's Utilize Library Data"...National Library of Korea Hosts Contest
Applications Accepted from August 1 to 8
Ideas for Utilizing and Integrating Library Data
The National Library of Korea announced on May 28 that applications for the "2025 Library Data Utilization Contest" will be accepted until August 8.
This contest will be held in two categories: proposals for service ideas and the creation of convergent content, both based on the utilization and analysis of library data. Any individual or group interested in library data may participate.
Entries must be created using library-related data such as digitized original texts, national bibliography linked open data, and library big data released by the National Library of Korea, as well as other public data.
The judging process consists of a first-round document review and a second-round presentation evaluation. Four entries will be selected in each category, for a total of eight, and awards will be presented by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Director of the National Library of Korea. Detailed information is available on the National Library of Korea website. The final results will be announced on September 1.
