The Korea Exchange cited several expected benefits of launching its own night trading: expanded risk management opportunities, enhanced investor convenience, and improved market efficiency. A Korea Exchange official explained, "With extended trading hours, the session now fully overlaps with the US stock market hours, making real-time risk management easier. Investors can also participate in night trading using the same procedures and methods as during regular hours." The official added, "Compared to the previous Eurex-linked trading, the trading structure is now simplified, reducing the cost for market participants to engage in night trading."
