Gyeonggi-do to Hold Five Tailored Fair Trade Education Sessions Through July 8
Gyeonggi-do will hold tailored in-person education sessions on various fair trade sectors, starting with subcontracting on June 18, 2025, and continuing through July 8, 2025, covering franchises, distribution, and other fields.
This training is aimed at executives and employees of medium-sized and small businesses within the province. It will focus on the significance and application cases of each fair trade sector, risk factors for legal violations that may arise in the field, and types of unfair practices, all to help protect corporate rights and interests.
The main topics of the sector-specific education include: ▲General Subcontracting Act ▲Win-Win Cooperation and Subcontracting ▲Advanced Subcontracting Act ▲Distribution Industry and Fair Trade Act ▲Franchise Business Act, among others.
To improve accessibility, Gyeonggi-do will divide the sessions by region, such as southern and northern Gyeonggi-do, taking into account the distribution of companies in each fair trade sector and the time and distance constraints faced by company employees.
Seo Bongja, Director of the Fair Economy Division of Gyeonggi-do, stated, "Gyeonggi-do is the center of fair trade, with 2.11 million companies, accounting for about 26% of all small and medium-sized enterprises nationwide. Through this training, we will support SMEs to further strengthen their fair trade response capabilities and self-reliance."
