On May 27, Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Kangsu) held an opening ceremony for the 'Sangam-dong Wildflower Garden' located at 1691 Sangam-dong, celebrating its inauguration together with local residents.
The 'Sangam-dong Wildflower Garden' transformed a vegetable garden previously used by only a few residents into an open garden that anyone can freely enjoy.
This garden features approximately 2,500 wildflowers of about 30 different species, including 50,000 yellow cosmos, allowing visitors to observe the changing seasons and the beauty of nature throughout the year.
A pavilion and benches have also been installed, providing cool shade and a comfortable space for visitors to relax and enjoy the natural scenery.
About 50 people attended the event, including Park Kangsu, Mayor of Mapo-gu, the chairperson of the Mapo-gu Council, district council members, and local residents. The ceremony, which included a ribbon-cutting, commemorative photo session, and a garden tour, took place in a warm and inviting atmosphere, allowing participants to fully appreciate the outdoor setting and the ambiance of nature.
