Establishing a Cooperative System for the Advancement of Disabled Sports
On May 27, Sungkyunkwan University Samsung Changwon Hospital and the Gyeongsangnam-do Disabled Sports Association held a business agreement ceremony in the conference room on the second floor of the administrative building at Samsung Changwon Hospital. The event was attended by Oh Juhyun, Director of the hospital, Koo Daeyoon, Secretary-General of the association, and six other participants, for a total of eight attendees.

View original imageThe two organizations agreed to actively cooperate in order to promote the happiness and health of the local community and families of disabled athletes, as well as to advance disabled sports within the province.
Oh Juhyun, Director of Samsung Changwon Hospital, stated, "This agreement is especially meaningful as our hospital also has disabled athletes among its members. As a leading general hospital representing the region, we will strive to create a healthy and stable environment for disabled sports based on our specialized medical infrastructure."
Koo Daeyoon, Secretary-General of the Gyeongsangnam-do Disabled Sports Association, said, "Through this agreement, I hope that both organizations will work together to improve the health, human rights, and welfare of disabled athletes in the province, as well as to realize the values of an inclusive society. I believe this will serve as an opportunity for further development of disabled sports."
Meanwhile, since 2022, Samsung Changwon Hospital has operated a disabled sports team and currently has 14 athletes actively participating, playing a significant role in the development of disabled sports.
