Hwaseong Raises 'Youth Activity Points' for Local Development from 120,000 to 150,000 Points
Points Awarded for Participation in Festivals and Events,
and for Promoting City Administration and Youth Policies
On May 26, the city of Hwaseong in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has revised its 'Youth Activity Point System' to better reflect current realities, aiming to encourage youth participation in society and promote contributions to the local community.
The 'Youth Activity Point System' awards points to young people aged 19 to 39 who submit proof of participation in festivals and events designated by the city, visits to tourist attractions, and promotional activities related to city administration and youth policies. Accumulated points can be converted into Hwaseong local currency or donated.
With the revision, the city has raised the maximum annual points limit from 120,000 to 150,000 points and abolished the monthly payment cap.
The city also increased the points awarded for Hwaseong exploration activities and for promotional activities related to city administration and the Youth Support Center. The points for exploration activities, such as attending festivals and visiting tourist attractions, have been raised from 1,000 to 2,000 points, while points for promotional activities related to city administration and the Youth Support Center have been increased from 500 to 1,000 points.
Youths can apply for points by submitting proof of their activities on the 'Jobaba Apply' website during the first and second halves of the year. For more details, refer to the announcement on the city hall website or the Jobaba Apply website.
