Sunchang County to Inspect 23 Medical Device Handling Businesses

Sunchang County in North Jeolla Province will conduct guidance and inspections of 23 medical device handling businesses in the county until May 30.

View original imageAccording to the county on May 26, this inspection has been initiated to strengthen safety management at local medical device handling businesses. The inspection team plans to review overall compliance, including whether businesses have properly reported the establishment or modification of medical device operations, any violations related to false or exaggerated advertising and labeling, the status of promotional and educational activities for users, and adherence to requirements for free trial rooms and other operational obligations.
For minor violations found during the inspection, the county will provide immediate on-site guidance. For intentional or serious violations, the county plans to consider administrative actions in accordance with relevant laws.
A county official stated, "Because medical devices are directly linked to the health of county residents, proactive management is of utmost importance," adding, "We will continue to focus on thorough inspections to reduce safety blind spots and to establish a culture of legal compliance among handling businesses."
