On the 23rd, employees of the Smart Agriculture Division helped with apple thinning, a process of removing excess fruit from trees.
An employee who participated in the work said, "After hearing an explanation about how important thinning is for farmers in the spring to improve harvest quality and productivity, I paid extra attention and worked even harder to help."
The farm owner expressed gratitude, saying, "I was overwhelmed by the large amount of thinning work that needed to be done at a specific time, but the support from the provincial government was a great help."
Won Gil-yeon, head of the Smart Agriculture Division, said, "This activity was meaningful because we were able to help alleviate the labor shortage that occurs every farming season, even if only a little," and promised, "We will continue our efforts so that farmers do not face difficulties in their agricultural operations due to a lack of manpower."
