Bukgu District of Gwangju Takes Steps to Prevent Apartment Complex Conflicts
Customized Education and Expert Consulting
Promoting the "Happy Apartment Complex Creation" Project
On May 26, the Bukgu district of Gwangju announced that it will implement the "Integrated Support Project for Creating Happy Apartment Complexes" to prevent disputes and conflicts in multi-family housing.
This project, which has been in place since 2023 in response to the growing population living in apartment complexes, aims to reduce friction and consists of the following components: operation of a housing management counseling center, consulting services from conflict resolution experts, and customized educational programs provided on-site.
The "Housing Management Counseling Center" offers regular consultations and on-site inspections by housing managers regarding legal regulations and related disputes. For conflicts that cannot be resolved through legal advice, the center connects residents with conflict resolution consulting provided by experts from the Korea Association of Housing Managers. In addition, an on-site educational program is offered for resident representatives and management staff. The program includes 15 lectures on topics such as management regulations and facility management, all taught by professional instructors.
