Military Denies Early Voting Interference Allegations, Vows to Fully Guarantee Soldiers' Voting Rights
As the Democratic Party of Korea raised suspicions that the military authorities interfered with early voting by service members, the Ministry of National Defense denied the allegations and emphasized that it would thoroughly guarantee the voting rights of soldiers.
On the 26th, the Ministry of National Defense issued a statement saying, "The military has ensured voting conditions for service members during various elections, including overseas voting, absentee voting, and early voting, and will thoroughly guarantee the voting rights of soldiers in this presidential election as well."
According to the Ministry of National Defense, service members deployed overseas, including those in dispatched units and individual deployments, have already completed overseas voting. In addition, soldiers serving at GP, GOP, and on naval vessels are conducting absentee voting.

The ministry stated, "For service members who, for various reasons, were unable to participate in early voting or absentee voting, we will do our utmost to guarantee their voting rights by providing conditions such as leave or off-base outings on election day."
