Dragonfly announced on May 22 that it has released the first official development video for "Special Force Remaster" on its official YouTube channel, showcasing its determination to push forward despite challenging circumstances.

This video features the game's core content, including characters, maps, weapons, and actual gameplay footage.

"Special Force Remaster" is the official remastered version of "Special Force," one of Korea's representative FPS games, with Executive Director Park Cheolseung, who previously led "Karma" and "Special Force," serving as the executive producer. Notably, since CEO Cho Cheol took office in July 2023, the company has concentrated its capabilities on this strategic project for over two years. Dragonfly aims to complete the beta version by the end of this year and officially launch the game in the first half of 2026.

The newly released YouTube video includes four real-life special forces characters such as the US SEAL Team and Russian Spetsnaz, a modern redesign of the popular "Desert Camp" map from the previous title, scenes featuring major weapons, and actual gameplay footage. While inheriting the intense combat and precise control system of the original, the remaster introduces new strategic elements such as destructible environments unique to this version.

A Dragonfly representative stated, "Since CEO Cho Cheol joined the company, we have faced the prolonged industry downturn and internal crises head-on, making another bold move. 'Special Force Remaster' is a meaningful achievement born from his steadfast decisions and the development team's determination, marking the fruition of our strategic investments and development efforts." The representative added, "In addition to launching Special Force Remaster, we plan to further enhance our brand value by releasing new titles targeting users of various age groups."

Meanwhile, Dragonfly is also set to launch "Downtown Town (DDT)," a strategic defense mobile game co-developed with Japanese game company Funcrew, in the Japanese market this September. "Downtown Town" is a new mobile title set in a post-apocalyptic world, featuring legendary Japanese game producer Yoshiki Okamoto. The game is characterized by its strategic base defense and immersive gameplay. Since its first unveiling at G-STAR 2024 last year, it has garnered industry attention as another ambitious project symbolizing Dragonfly's renewed entry into the global gaming market.
