Senior Version of "I Am Solo" to Be Held... Seniors 65 and Older to Find Connections in Hanok
Jongno-gu to Host Good Life Challenge
In-person Applications Accepted Until June 2
Jongno-gu in Seoul will host the "2025 Senior Solo Project Part 1: Jongno Good Life Challenge" to help alleviate social isolation among seniors aged 65 and older who live alone, and to foster new connections. The event will take place on June 12 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the traditional cultural venue Mugyewon, and up to 40 seniors can participate.
This program has been expanded to two sessions, one in the first half and one in the second half of this year, following the enthusiastic response to last October's inaugural "Making Friends for Seniors" event at Unhyeongung, which resulted in the formation of six couples.
This year's event will include activities such as nickname introductions, group and one-on-one conversations, nostalgic games, and writing heart cards. Comedian Shim Hyunseop will host the event to help seniors interact comfortably. Applications to participate can be submitted in person at the Senior Welfare Division until June 2.
