Simmons Ranked No. 1 in the Bed Category of the '2025 Green Star' Awards
Outstanding Eco-Friendly Products Selected Through Direct Consumer Evaluation
"We Will Lead the Way in Ensuring a Safe Sleep Environment"
On May 21, Simmons announced that it had been ranked No. 1 in the bed category of the '2025 Green Star' awards.
The 2025 Green Star, organized by the Korea Management Registrar (KMR), is a certification system that selects products with outstanding eco-friendliness by comprehensively evaluating various factors such as product quality, design, and user environment through consumer research.
In July of last year, Simmons introduced a new Beautyrest mattress, which was the first in Korea to apply vanadium to POSCO steel wire during manufacturing and production, effectively creating a mattress that can be used semi-permanently. The Beautyrest mattress minimized its environmental impact by reducing the amount of mattress waste generated.
In addition, Simmons ensures consumer health and safety by selecting eco-friendly materials, maintaining a clean production process, and obtaining various safety certifications. At its own production system, 'Simmons Factoryum,' the company maintains cleanliness throughout the entire manufacturing process by applying a top-level air conditioning system that excels at removing dust and operating a clean production system with no wastewater or sewage.
Furthermore, Simmons implements additional safety measures, including ▲certification for radon and thoron safety products ▲production of flame-retardant mattresses ▲nationally certified eco-friendly certifications.
