Daejeon Council Member Lee Yonggi Found Dead in Vehicle
No Evidence of Foul Play
Police Investigating Detailed Circumstances
Lee Yonggi, a member of the Daejeon Metropolitan Council (People Power Party, Daedeok-gu District 3), was found dead.
According to police on May 18, Lee was discovered deceased at around 4:26 p.m. in a vehicle parked near a hiking trail parking lot in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon.
It was reported that approximately 50 minutes before being found, Lee had sent a message to his family expressing despair over his personal situation. No suicide note or similar document was found at the scene.
The police stated that there was no evidence of foul play and are investigating the exact circumstances of his death.
