Gyeonggi Province to Supervise and Inspect 814 Environmental Service Companies
Gyeonggi Province will conduct regular supervision and inspections of 814 environmental service companies within the province.
Environmental service companies include specialized environmental engineering firms that design and construct pollution prevention facilities, environmental consulting firms that analyze and advise on pollution treatment methods, environmental management agencies that handle environmental management tasks for pollutant-emitting businesses, and measurement agencies that assess the level of pollutant emissions.
This year, Gyeonggi Province will focus on three sectors, excluding measurement agencies, during the first half of the year. The main areas of inspection will include: compliance with registration requirements; appropriateness of technical personnel and equipment operations; lawful management of business records; and adherence to other environmental laws and administrative regulations.
Prior to the inspection, Gyeonggi Province plans to distribute a 'self-checklist' to workplaces, guiding them to conduct their own preliminary inspections and address any deficiencies in advance.
