Changwon LG Sakers Win First Championship in 28 Years, Defeat SK in Game 7
The professional basketball team Changwon LG Sakers claimed their first-ever championship title in 28 years since their founding, after a decisive Game 7 victory against the Seoul SK Knights.
On May 17, at the Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium in Seoul, LG defeated Changwon LG in Game 7 of the 2024-2025 KCC Professional Basketball Championship Series (best-of-seven), securing the win in an away game.
LG had won Games 1 to 3 but then lost Games 4 to 6 in succession, facing the threat of a reverse sweep. However, by capturing the final game of the series, they achieved a dramatic victory with a 4-3 record.
