"Hid and Photographed Drugs"... 20s Man Sentenced to Prison for Acting as Drug 'Dropper'
A man in his 20s who acted as a so-called "dropper," delivering drugs to designated hiding places, has been sentenced to prison.
On May 17, the Seoul Eastern District Court's Criminal Division 2, presided over by Chief Judge Kim Seyong, announced that it had sentenced a man in his 20s to one month in prison on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances).
The man was indicted on charges of collecting narcotics at the direction of a drug trafficking organization from July 2023, hiding them in specific locations, photographing the locations, and sending the images to other members of the organization.
According to a prosecution investigation, on August 18, 2023, the man hid 0.5 grams of methamphetamine in a fire extinguisher cabinet inside a building in Incheon, photographed it, and sent the image to a Telegram chatroom operated by the drug trafficking organization.
