Siheung City Achieves 'Highest Grade' in Pledge Implementation Evaluation for Six Consecutive Years
"93% Achievement Rate for Last Year's Goals"
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 16th that it received the highest grade (SA) in the "2025 Eighth Popularly Elected Local Government Heads' Pledge Implementation Evaluation" conducted by the Korea Manifesto Center.
As a result, the city has achieved the highest grade for six consecutive years from 2020 to 2025 in both the Pledge Implementation Plan Evaluation and the Pledge Fulfillment Evaluation.
This year's evaluation was conducted from February, targeting the pledges of 226 local government heads nationwide. The evaluation was divided into five categories based on the status as of the end of December last year: completion of pledge implementation, achievement of 2024 goals, communication with residents, web-based communication, and consistency of pledges.
The city explained that it received the highest grade by earning high scores in key categories, such as a 57% pledge completion rate and a 93% achievement rate for last year's goals. Siheung City has promoted pledge fulfillment through systematic management, including operating a pledge implementation evaluation team led by the Planning and Coordination Office, expanding citizen participation, and monitoring the implementation status.
