Korea Investment & Securities to Donate Greenhouse Gas Reduction Funds if Employees Walk 100 Million Steps
Employee Step Donation Campaign "WE:walk"
On May 16, Korea Investment & Securities announced the launch of its employee step donation campaign, "WE:walk," aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
This campaign, held under the slogan "With the Earth! walk together," will run until May 30. The company will tally the total number of steps taken by employees, and if the goal of 100 million steps is reached, it will donate funds to support greenhouse gas reduction efforts.
Korea Investment & Securities explained that the campaign was organized to encourage voluntary participation by employees in both improving their health and protecting the environment. By choosing to walk instead of using internal combustion engine vehicles, the company expects to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 15 tons, based on the 100 million steps target.
