Kwon Cheongwon, the KPGA tournament director, stated, "If the weather improves tomorrow, we will proceed with a 72-hole tournament, but if it is simply not possible to play due to time constraints, we may hold a 54-hole tournament." A KPGA official explained, "Since there have been instances in the past where more than 18 holes were played in a single day, our goal is to complete all 72 holes if at all possible. However, since rain is also forecast for the 16th, if conditions do not permit, we will hold a 54-hole tournament."
