IBK Industrial Bank Wins "Global Best SME Lending Digital Solution Award"
IBK Industrial Bank announced on May 14 that it has won the "Global Best SME Lending Digital Solution Award" at the Global SME Banking Innovation Awards 2025, hosted by the global digital finance magazine The Digital Banker.
The bank received this honor in recognition of the innovation of its digital platform dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises, IBK BOX, and its core service, the Lending Gateway BOX.
The Digital Banker specified the reasons for the award, stating, "IBK BOX is the first web-based management support platform for SMEs in Korea, available to anyone without the need for a separate app installation. It incorporates advanced technologies such as facial recognition and the use of public MyData, which have significantly improved financial accessibility and convenience?an innovative achievement."
In particular, the magazine explained, "The Lending Gateway BOX enables the entire loan process, from application to execution, to be handled non-face-to-face, allowing customers to quickly and easily secure funds anytime and anywhere. The use of innovative technologies such as automatic document collection and digital screening to eliminate the complexity and barriers of the loan process was also highly praised."
