Dongjak District Signs Joint Growth Agreement with Clean Tech Company "Lowcarbon"
Agreed to Cooperate on Headquarters Relocation and Priority Hiring of Dongjak Residents
On May 14, Dongjak District in Seoul (Mayor Park Ilha) announced that it had signed a business agreement with Lowcarbon Co., Ltd., a climate tech specialist company, for "the implementation of carbon neutrality and revitalization of the local economy."

View original imageLowcarbon is a promising startup that recently secured a clean hydrogen production site in Florida, USA, and completed the first phase of factory permits. The company, which has been in business for nine years, employs around 130 staff members.
The agreement, signed on May 13, aims to support Lowcarbon in establishing a stable presence within the district and, through this, contribute to the local community by creating jobs for district residents in the future. Under the agreement, the district plans to provide comprehensive support, including assistance with recruitment through the job center, administrative support for the commercialization and utilization of technology, and the creation of infrastructure to foster corporate growth.
Lowcarbon has pledged to open a branch or an affiliated office within Dongjak District upon the company’s listing, prioritize the hiring of Dongjak residents, promote community reinvestment projects, and actively consider relocating its headquarters to the district in the future.
The district intends to use this agreement as a turning point to establish a cooperative framework with a high-growth-potential startup, aiming for the joint development of the local economy and future industries.
