The Gumi City Choir in Gyeongbuk is wishing for the successful hosting of the '2025 Gumi Asian Athletics Championships' through its 75th regular concert.
On May 13, Gumi City announced that it will hold the 'Concert Wishing for the Successful Hosting of the Asian Athletics Championships' at 7:30 p.m. on both the 21st and 22nd at the Grand Performance Hall of the Gumi City Culture and Arts Center.
This performance is organized to express hopes for the successful hosting of the international athletics competition, which will be held in Gumi for the first time in May next year. It also marks the 75th regular concert of the Gumi City Choir.
On the 21st, local choirs such as the Gumi Male Choir and the Gumi City Boys and Girls Choir will join the stage to reflect the hopes of the local community.
On the 22nd, the Andong City Choir and Naju City Choir will be invited, delivering an even more refined choral performance.
Founded in 1989, the Gumi City Choir has consistently communicated with citizens through regular and special performances. Since 2023, it has also contributed to educational culture by arranging, recording, and distributing school songs within the region through the 'School Song Production Project.'
Yu Youngik, Director of the Gumi City Culture and Arts Center, said, "This performance will be a symbolic stage wishing for the success of Gumi's international competition. I hope many citizens will attend and enjoy the grandeur of choral music along with the spirit of May."
Meanwhile, all seats for this performance are free of charge, and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis without reservations.
