Hwasun County Recruiting Applicants for Spring Orchid Greenhouse Rental
36 Greenhouses Available for Lease in Mansu-ri, Neungju-myeon

View original imageHwasun County (Governor Koo Bokgyu) announced on May 13 that it is recruiting applicants for the 2025 Spring Orchid Greenhouse Rental Program.
This project aims to revitalize the spring orchid industry and establish a foundation for urban agriculture by providing orchid cultivation greenhouses to local residents.
According to the rental announcement released by Hwasun County the previous day, a total of 36 greenhouses (each 32.4 square meters) located at 556-8 Mansu-ri, Neungju-myeon, are available for rent. These greenhouses are equipped with the latest facilities, including smart farm control systems and shading equipment.
The rental period is one year from the contract date, and each individual is limited to one greenhouse. The annual rental fee is 1.1 million won, with an additional monthly operating cost of 20,000 won. Eligibility is limited to residents with an address in Hwasun County as of the application deadline, and the greenhouses may only be used for spring orchid cultivation and related activities.
Rental applications will be accepted by mail or in person from May 14 until 6:00 p.m. on June 20. The application office is the Hwasun County Korea Orchid Industrial Complex Promotion Task Force.
Kim Seongon, Deputy Director of the Korea Orchid Industrial Complex Promotion Task Force, said, "We hope many residents interested in the spring orchid industry will participate," adding, "This will greatly contribute to promoting the cultivation of high value-added crops through orchid cultivation."
