Saevitchem Appoints Seungjin Lee as New CEO: "26-Year Chemical Industry Expert"
Saevitchem, a company specializing in battery recycling, officially announced on May 12, 2025, that it has appointed Seungjin Lee as its new CEO.
The newly appointed CEO of Saevitchem began his career in the battery industry in 1999 at LG Chem. Over the past 26 years, he has accumulated extensive experience by leading various strategic businesses at major domestic and international chemical companies, including DuPont, Samsung Fine Chemicals, SK, Saint-Gobain, Lotte BP Chemical, and CJ.
In particular, he has demonstrated differentiated strategic capabilities in the industry by expanding his expertise beyond the traditional chemical sector into industrial biotechnology. He has solidified his position in the industry by leading various large-scale projects, such as launching new businesses, establishing in-house ventures, and forming joint ventures (JVs).
