Nongshim's Shin Ramyun Rides Venice Water Bus... Targeting the European Market
Expecting a Boost from the Venice Architecture Biennale
Aiming for $300 Million in European Sales by 2030
Nongshim announced on May 12 that it will launch a Shin Ramyun wrapping advertisement on the "Vaporetto," the water bus of Venice, Italy, a world-renowned tourist destination. Venice, whose entire city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracts more than 30 million visitors annually. The water buses, which connect over 100 islands along the city's Grand Canal, serve as a key mode of transportation.
Nongshim plans to enhance global brand recognition for Shin Ramyun through an advertising campaign utilizing the water buses until June 10. In particular, the campaign coincides with the "Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition," which began on May 10, and is expected to have a significant promotional effect among tourists flocking from across Europe.
To accelerate its expansion into the European market, Nongshim established "Nongshim Europe" in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in March. This is a strategic investment following an average annual sales growth rate of 25% in the European region over the past five years. Nongshim aims to achieve $300 million in sales by 2030 through expanding local distribution networks and developing customized products tailored to European food culture.
