He finished tied for 54th at 2-under-par 282. His fairway accuracy rate was 57.14%, and his greens in regulation rate was 55.56%, making it difficult for him to create birdie opportunities.
Kim, who joined the PGA Tour in 2022, has three career victories. Currently working on correcting his swing, Kim has played in 12 tournaments this year and made the cut eight times. His only top-10 finish this year was a tie for seventh at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February.
This tournament featured mainly players who were unable to participate in the Signature Event Truist Championship (total prize money $20 million), which was held during the same period in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Ryan Fox (New Zealand) shot a 5-under-par 66 to tie with Mackenzie Hughes (Canada) and Harry Higgs (USA) at 15-under-par 269. On the first playoff hole, which resumed at the 18th hole (par 4), Fox secured victory with a winning birdie. This was his first win in 68 PGA Tour events. He received a winner's prize of $720,000 (approximately 1 billion KRW).
