Gwangju Donggu Council and Hwasun County Council Make Mutual Hometown Love Donations

View original imageOn May 11, Gwangju Donggu Council announced that it and Hwasun County Council had recently donated 2 million won each to each other as part of the Hometown Love Donation program.
Gwangju Donggu and Hwasun County signed a mutual development agreement in June of last year to jointly respond to population decline and the risk of local extinction, and to establish a sustainable resident population base. This donation is seen as a practical step to further strengthen their cooperative relationship.
Gwangju Donggu Council is actively participating in addressing collaborative challenges and is reinforcing its partnership with Hwasun County based on solidarity through the Hometown Love Donation program.
Chairperson Moon Sunhwa stated, "With this mutual donation as an opportunity, we will do our utmost so that Hwasun County and Gwangju Donggu can overcome the crisis of local extinction together and achieve mutual regional development."
