[Photo] Gwangju and Jeonnam Voters: "Withdraw Presidential Candidacy of Insurrection Forces"
On the afternoon of May 9, 33 organizations, including Gwangju·Jeonnam Candlelight Action, held a press conference in the Citizens' Communication Room at the Gwangju City Council. They announced a voter declaration, calling on the People Power Party, which they described as a party complicit in insurrection, to withdraw from the presidential race and disband. Participants held placards reading "Withdraw Presidential Candidacy of Insurrection Forces" and strongly criticized the People Power Party for its actions, which they said lacked responsibility and an apology.
