Dongmyung University Department of Occupational Therapy Continues Industry-Academia Convergence Lectures with Field Experts
Lectures by Haeundae Paik Hospital Occupational Therapist Scheduled for May
The Department of Occupational Therapy at Dongmyung University has been holding a series of in-depth industry-academia convergence lectures over several months, inviting practicing occupational therapists active in clinical settings to the campus.

View original imageThis lecture series was organized to provide students with the latest clinical trends and practical skills. On March 31, Heo Jun, an occupational therapist at Busan Paik Hospital of Inje University, delivered a lecture on "Introduction to Occupational Therapy," and on April 7, Lee Jaehun, an occupational therapist at Gangdong-gu Dementia Relief Center, gave a lecture on "Activities of Daily Living."
On April 17, Lee Ayoung, an occupational therapist at Icheon Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center, delivered a lecture on "Neuro-Occupational Therapy and Practicum," followed by a lecture on "Introduction to Mental Health" by Kim Sehyun, an occupational therapist at Ilsandong-gu Dementia Relief Center in Goyang City, on May 7.
Lectures on "Occupational Therapy Assessment and Practicum" by Kim Minji, an occupational therapist at Haeundae Paik Hospital, are scheduled for May 20 and 27.
Cho Seunghyun, head of the department, explained, "Through the industry-academia convergence lectures, students can develop the ability to effectively apply theoretical knowledge in clinical settings."
Professor Cho Mirim stated, "We are strengthening field-oriented practical education through lectures by occupational therapists who are active in various clinical settings."
Building on the success of this industry-academia convergence lecture series, the Department of Occupational Therapy at Dongmyung University plans to further expand collaboration with field experts and strengthen industry-academia-linked educational programs. The department will focus on enhancing students' employment competitiveness and advancing expertise in the field of occupational therapy through practice-oriented education based on industry-academia cooperation.
