Asan City Achieves First Place Among Cities in Chungnam City-County Comprehensive Evaluation
Securing 200 Million Won in Provincial Financial Incentives
On May 9, Asan City announced that it had achieved first place overall among cities in the 2025 Chungnam City-County Comprehensive Evaluation, earning recognition as an excellent institution for the 13th consecutive year.
The City-County Comprehensive Evaluation is a system that assesses the performance and outcomes of 15 cities and counties in the province, based on 96 detailed indicators aligned with six major national policy goals. The evaluation is divided into quantitative and qualitative categories.
Asan City received an "Excellent" rating in 78 out of 81 quantitative indicators, ranking second among cities in this category. In the qualitative category, 13 out of 15 indicators were selected as outstanding cases, earning Asan City first place in the qualitative evaluation.
As a result of the comprehensive evaluation, Asan City secured first place overall among cities and received a provincial financial incentive of 200 million won.
Mayor Oh Sehyun stated, "This achievement is the result of every employee doing their best in their respective positions," and added, "With the designation of 2025-2026 as the Years of Visiting Asan, we will further enhance Asan City's reputation as a well-performing city by implementing effective policies that citizens can truly experience."
