Bithumb Nanum Holds Sports Day at Salvation Army Seoul Husaengwon for Children's Day
Bithumb Nanum announced on May 9 that it held a sports day at the Salvation Army Seoul Husaengwon in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on May 3 to celebrate Children's Day.
Bithumb Nanum was officially launched in 2024 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Bithumb's founding, aiming to give back to society in return for the support received from customers, and has been carrying out various social contribution activities.
Seoul Husaengwon was established in 1918 to protect children who had lost their parents and were wandering the streets, and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2018. Every year, the institution organizes gatherings for its children and alumni to maintain relationships, and this time, Bithumb Nanum joined the event.
About 130 current children and alumni staff members from Seoul Husaengwon, along with Bithumb employees as volunteers, participated in the event. Before the main sports day, participants enjoyed a meal and various experience activities. The meal included lunch boxes with barbecue and assorted side dishes, as well as snacks such as tteokbokki, sundae, and eomuk prepared directly from a food truck. After the meal, participants spent time making dalgona, taking photos at a photo booth, and engaging in other interactive activities.
In the afternoon, the main sports day took place. Starting with an opening ceremony, participants engaged in a series of team competitions, including passing balls in a ball pit, air ladder climbing, tug-of-war, and obstacle relays, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. After all events concluded, gifts were given to all participants, and the event ended with a group photo.
