Gokseong Donor Heo Jaesu Donates Funds for Wildfire Recovery Support
The Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea (hereafter Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on May 8 that donor Heo Jae-su from Samgi-myeon, Gokseong-gun, donated 10 million won for wildfire recovery efforts in the Yeongnam region through Gokseong-gun.
The donation ceremony held on this day was attended by donor Heo Jae-su, Lee Hyunseung, Team Leader of Fundraising Team 2 at Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae, and other related officials.
Heo Jae-su has led the culture of sharing in Gokseong-gun since joining as a Nanum Leader in 2023. Through this special fundraising campaign for wildfire victims in the Yeongnam region, he donated 10 million won, the highest individual donation in the Jeonnam region, taking the lead in building a more caring society through sharing.
Heo Jae-su stated, "I am deeply grateful to be able to help residents suffering from wildfire damage," and added, "Although everyone is struggling due to the difficult economic situation, I believe the world will become warmer as each person practices sharing. I will continue to support this cause."
Kim Donggeuk, Secretary General of Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae, said, "I would like to express my gratitude once again to donor Heo Jae-su for practicing sharing for the community," and added, "We at Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae will ensure that your sincere support is delivered as a great comfort to the affected residents."
