Fireworks Effect for "Thank You, Mom and Dad"... KakaoTalk Introduces Emotional Reaction Feature
Real-Time Reactions to Congratulations and Thank-You Messages
Kakao announced on May 6 that it will launch a new feature in celebration of Family Month, enabling real-time reactions to greetings such as congratulations and thanks exchanged in KakaoTalk chat rooms.
This new feature automatically recognizes congratulatory or gratitude keywords such as "Thank you, Mom and Dad" or "Happy Birthday" within user conversations and displays visual effects like fireworks or flower petals. Users can also immediately use the KakaoTalk Gift service directly from the chat window after these effects appear.
The visual effects for gratitude greetings will be available for a limited time, until Parents' Day on May 8. For birthday-related keywords, the effects will be applied permanently.
Previously, Kakao has offered events where visual effects appeared in chat windows when users entered certain keywords such as "first snow" or "Chuseok." This new feature expands these keyword-based interactive functions to include expressions of everyday emotions.
