Jo Myeongrae, the Second Vice Mayor of Changwon Special City, attended the opening ceremony of the 64th Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Sports Festival held at Jinju Sports Complex, where he cheered on the athletes from Changwon Special City as well as other participants.

View original imageThe opening ceremony, held on May 2, was a grand event attended by athletes, officials, and citizens from 18 cities and counties in the province. It served as a meaningful occasion to foster unity among regions and to promote the spirit of sportsmanship.
After attending the opening ceremony, Vice Mayor Jo personally visited the dinner gathering of the Changwon Special City athletes, greeted each member of the team, and expressed his appreciation for their hard work.
This dinner was organized to boost morale and strengthen unity among the Changwon Special City athletes participating in the 64th Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Sports Festival, which is being held in Jinju from May 2 to May 5.
Vice Mayor Jo stated, "Each and every one of you is a proud representative of Changwon. I hope you will fully demonstrate the skills you have honed and finish the competition joyfully and without injury," wishing the team success in the tournament.
For this year's event, Changwon Special City has assembled its largest-ever delegation, with 1,041 athletes competing in a total of 35 disciplines including shooting, athletics, kendo, and tennis, aiming for top rankings in all categories.
