KGM Sees 8% Drop in Global Sales in April... "Production Line Adjustments Cited"
April Monthly Sales Results Announced
KG Mobility announced on May 2 that it sold a total of 8,932 vehicles in the global market in April 2025, including 3,546 units in the domestic market and 5,386 units exported.
The global sales performance for April 2025 represents a decrease of 8.4% compared to the same month of the previous year. A KG Mobility representative explained, "Despite the recovery in domestic sales driven by the launch of new models, the decline was due to temporary reductions in export volume caused by production line adjustments resulting from mixed-model production, as well as the rollover of shipments to certain countries."
Domestic sales increased by 10.5% compared to the previous month, supported by the launch of new models such as the Musso EV and Torres Hybrid. Domestic sales have shown continuous growth for four consecutive months since January 2025.
Exports saw a slight decrease year-on-year, but thanks to the launch of new vehicles in overseas markets and strengthened marketing activities, sales volumes to countries such as Germany, T?rkiye, and Spain have increased, allowing the company to maintain monthly exports of over 5,000 units.
A KGM representative stated, "With the launch of new models, domestic sales are recovering, and exports have also maintained sales volumes of over 5,000 units. As we expand new vehicle launches in export markets and strengthen various marketing strategies, including inviting overseas dealerships for test drive events, we expect global sales volumes to continue their upward trend."
