Director Park Heegon of "Perfect Game" and "Feng Shui" Passes Away at 56
Director Park Heegon, known for films such as "Perfect Game" and "Feng Shui," passed away on the 30th. He was 56 years old.
According to Yonhap News, citing sources from the film industry and Park's family, the director died that morning due to a chronic illness. The family stated that Park had been in a coma for a long time after suffering cardiac arrest at the end of 2023. Although he appeared to be gradually recovering earlier this year, he ultimately did not regain consciousness and passed away.

Park graduated from Kyungwon University with a degree in English Language and Literature and made his directorial debut in 2009 with "Insadong Scandal," starring Uhm Junghwa and Kim Raewon. In 2011, he directed the sports film "Perfect Game," based on the true story of baseball players Choi Dongwon and Sun Dongyeol. He then directed the historical drama "Feng Shui" in 2017, starring Cho Seungwoo. Park's final work was the thriller film "Target," released in August 2023 and starring Shin Hyesun. The funeral is being held at the funeral hall of Myongji Hospital in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. He is survived by his sister Park Geum and brothers Park Daegon and Park Jingon. The funeral procession will take place at 6:40 a.m. on May 2, and the burial site is Seoul Memorial Park.
