NST Appoints 5th Planning and Evaluation Committee Members Including Biotechnology Company CEO
Aiming to Support Market-Driven R&D
The National Research Council of Science and Technology (NST) announced on April 30 that it has appointed members to the 5th Planning and Evaluation Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Planning and Evaluation Committee).
The NST Planning and Evaluation Committee supports the adjustment of functions among 23 government-funded research institutes under its jurisdiction, provides advice on the long-term development direction of research fields for each institute, and assists with the evaluation of research institutes.
The 5th Planning and Evaluation Committee is chaired by Professor Heo Eunyoung of Seoul National University and consists of 16 experts from industry, academia, and research sectors who have a deep understanding of research trends at government-funded institutes.
