Myung Taegyun Gate Fact-Finding Task Force to Be Expanded and Reorganized
The Democratic Party of Korea will introduce the Special Prosecutor Act on Insurrection and the Special Prosecutor Act on Kim Keonhee on April 25. Including the already proposed Special Prosecutor Act on Chae Haebyeong, the party plans to process these three major special prosecutor bills at the National Assembly plenary session in June.

View original imageAfter the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly in Yeouido on this day, party spokesperson Kim Seonghoe told reporters, "Today, we will introduce the Special Prosecutor Act on Insurrection and the Special Prosecutor Act on Kim Keonhee."
He added, "We will push forward with the three major special prosecutor acts: the already proposed Special Prosecutor Act on Chae Haebyeong, the Special Prosecutor Act on Insurrection, and the Special Prosecutor Act on Kim Keonhee. Our goal is to pass them through the Legislation and Judiciary Committee in May and process them at the plenary session in June."
The Special Prosecutor Act on Kim Keonhee will also include matters related to the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation case, as well as content covered by the previously proposed Special Prosecutor Act on Myung Taegyun. Spokesperson Kim stated, "Recently, suspicions regarding Geonjin Beopsa have also emerged, so instead of separate special prosecutors, we will combine them and propose a single special prosecutor act."

Additionally, through the Supreme Council meeting, the Democratic Party decided to expand and reorganize the Myung Taegyun Gate Fact-Finding Task Force. Spokesperson Kim said, "There are too many suspicions related to Kim Keonhee, so we plan to form a comprehensive investigation team. Although the details have not been finalized, it will likely consist of a division for Myung Taegyun-related suspicions, a division for Geonjin Beopsa-related suspicions, and so on."
