"Acoustic Guitars and School Uniforms"... Korea Tourism Organization Launches "Chungnam Retro Romantic Train" Package
The Korea Tourism Organization announced on April 25 that it has launched a unique train travel product, the "Chungnam Retro Romantic Train," which will operate a total of eight times until the end of this year along the Janghang Line.
The "Chungnam Retro Romantic Train" is a one-day travel package that allows participants to visit major tourist attractions in Chungcheongnam-do while enjoying a variety of retro-style programs in a space that faithfully recreates the atmosphere of the 1970s and 1980s.
Upon boarding the train, tourists are greeted with live acoustic guitar performances and accordion music. The experience also includes nostalgic snacks such as old-fashioned lunchboxes and roasted eggs, as well as a range of retro activities like wearing school uniforms and playing Ddakji. Participants depart from Seoul Station, Yeongdeungpo, Suwon, and other metropolitan area stations, then disembark at the pre-selected train station of their choice. After disembarking, they can enjoy the unique charms of each region through a city tour. The available destinations for disembarkation are Boryeong (Daecheon Station), Asan (Onyangoncheon Station), Seosan (Hongseong Station), Seocheon (Janghang Station), Yesan (Yesan Station), Taean (Hongseong Station), and Hongseong (Hongseong Station).
