Pohang City Addresses Citizens' Housing Concerns On-Site... Launches Visiting Mobile Counseling Center
Joint Operation of Mobile Counseling Center by Housing Welfare Center and Korea Real Estate Board Pohang Branch
Starting at Heunghaeeup Administrative Welfare Center on April 24
Customized Consultations Provided On-Site
Pohang City is taking steps to address citizens' housing concerns more closely than ever before.
Starting on April 24, Pohang City will launch the "Visiting Housing Welfare Mobile Counseling Center," offering customized consultations directly at the locations where citizens actually live.
This mobile counseling center will be jointly operated by the Pohang City Housing Welfare Center and the Korea Real Estate Board's Pohang branch, reaching out directly to citizens experiencing difficulties with housing issues.
The primary goal is to deliver practical information to those who need assistance the most, such as the housing vulnerable, young people, and newlyweds, and to connect them with housing welfare programs.
The first session will take place on April 24 at the Heunghaeeup Administrative Welfare Center. Subsequently, the mobile counseling center will visit areas with high concentrations of non-standard housing, such as rooms in commercial buildings, inns, and motels, as well as the administrative welfare centers of 10 towns and districts with high demand from young people and newlyweds.
On-site consultations will cover topics closely related to daily life, including: ▲housing welfare support programs ▲housing improvement support for vulnerable groups ▲information on LH public rental housing ▲consultation on lease contract disputes.
This initiative is especially expected to provide practical help to citizens who wish to move from non-standard housing to better living environments but do not know how, as well as to young people and newlyweds struggling with lease contract issues.
A Pohang City official stated, "By providing on-site housing welfare services, we aim to improve accessibility for the housing vulnerable and offer real assistance," adding, "We will actively operate the Pohang City Housing Welfare Center, which officially opened in January this year, so that it can fulfill its essential role for citizens."
